New York-Bangladesh Press Club (NYBDPC) is an organization of Bangladeshi journalists living in New York and other cities. This Bangladeshi Press Club was founded in August, 2008 in New York. New York-Bangladesh Press Club aims to unite the journalists of Bangladesh origin working in the USA. The New York Bangladesh Press Club’s Fazle Rashid Award’s was instituted at the Press Club’s 10th Anniversary Celebration and 6th Executive Committee Inauguration Ceremony in January, 2018, and are awarded periodically.
The Award instituted in the memorials of renowned journalist Late Fazle Rashid. The New York Bangladesh Press Club Fazle Rashid Award honors journalists whose careers in New York media are exemplified by long tenure, integrity and extraordinary achievement. The New York Press Club Award honors communications professionals whose careers have had a significant salutary impact on the practice of journalism and whose involvement in community affairs has enriched the lives of New Yorkers.
